Leading the Way into 2023

January 18, 2023

Following the Grenfell tragedy and subsequent enquiry, there are reforms being introduced by the new Building Safety Regulator and regulatory changes passed by parliament.  One of these changes will see a requirement for all building control professionals to be accredited by April 2024.  The level of accreditation will correspond to the type of work they carryout, a building control professional will require the appropriate level of accreditation for the work they are inspecting.

We are pleased to announce all CNC Building Control Officers are enrolled on LABC training and validation scheme, and some have already completed courses with some aiming for the highest level of accreditation.  All CNC Building Control Officers will be appropriately trained and accredited by the deadline, April 2024.

Further success for the team in 2022 saw the successful recruitment of four assistant surveyors and two internal promotions from assistant surveyor to surveyor.  Also, CNC provided two seminars for construction industry professional regarding the new FLOS and transitional regulations, which was very well attended by over 100 professionals, so we are planning to provide more of these in 2023 – watch this space.

If you have a building project this year we look forward to working with you in 2023.
