If you were to list all of the purchases you make in your life, it’s a pretty safe bet that your house will be the largest.

Whether you’re intending to build your own house, extend or alter the one you own or even convert the loft or existing garage, you will need to employ the services of a building control company to ensure everything complies with the building regulations.

At CNC, we understand how stressful and worrying undertaking a large project can be. That’s why we treat your project as OUR project, and your house as OUR house. We will be with you every step of the way from when you first decide to carry out the work through to its completion and the production of a completion certificate.

We’ll make sure that all the works are carried out and adhere to the building regulations so that you can be sure you house is safe.

We can offer you advice and guidance on your project as well as help with submitting the application and sorting out the fees.

If you have any questions or queries, our frequently asked questions section should offer the answer. Our charges section will give guidance on the fee you may expect and you can can also apply on-line via our apply section.  And when the project has started on site you can book an inspection via our Book An Inspection section

Above all, we recognise the importance of your project to you.  We will do our utmost to ensure everything runs smoothly for you and cut through any jargon associated with the legislative side of things, instead making the whole process as simple as possible.

It is important for property owners to assess the risk of building works before they proceed.  Owners are advised to consider the requirement for protection should building work provide to be defective.  This can include asking the builder to provide a bond or insurance backed guarantee for the work that they do, retaining part of the agreed price for a period after completion or obtaining a warranty.
