Mayor's awards for design in the environment winners

At a special awards ceremony held on 30 April, local architectural excellence and craftsmenship was celebrated with the announcements of the winners of the annual Mayor's Awards for Design in the Environment.

30 schemes were shortlisted for the awards under a number of different categories.  The judging panel had previously commented that the standard and diversity of entries was impressive.

David Highton Area Manager of CNC Building Control commented "CNC Building Control are delighted that many of our partner architects and developers have again been recognised by the 'Mayors awards 2013' for their outstanding work within the borough."

Commenting at the ceremony, The Mayor Cllr Geoffrey Wareham said: "It's been great to see so many fine entries this year and I have thorough enjoyed my trip around the borough visiting each of them as part of the judging process.  It really has been a tough job deciding on the winners, as the quality of each of the schemes was outstanding."
