CNC Building Control scoop awards hat-trick

CNC Building Control scoop awards hat-trick

CNC Building Control are celebrating after winning three prestigious accolades at the Regional Local Authority Building Control Awards.

BBC ‘Inside Out’ presenter David Whittley announced the winners to a packed audience, which included staff from over 20 local authorities, at St Andrews Hall in Norwich.

The awards celebrate building excellence across the Eastern Region and take into account technical innovation, sustainability and high performance.

CNC took top prize in three of the thirteen categories and were finalists in another five.

The successful projects were:

Best Conversion of an Existing Building – won for CNC’s work with Hopkins Homes and their conversion of Aylsham Water Tower into a state-of-the-art seven storey residential home.

Best Public Service Building – won for CNC’s work with Russen and Turner and the local Islamic Community for turning a property in King’s Lynn into a new Community Centre.

Best Commercial Building – won for CNC’s work with NPS and Balfour Beatty for the creation of environmentally sustainable office suites at Hethel Engineering.

Dave Shaw, CNC General Manager said: “The calibre of entrants was extremely high, so for CNC to come out on top in both residential and commercial categories underlines the technical expertise of our staff.”

“Not only that, the fact winning entries came in collaboration with significant industry influencers like Balfour Beatty and Hopkins Homes should allow us to move more confidently along our current commercialisation journey and continue to grow CNC”.

The winning projects will now be shortlisted for the National Building Control Awards which take place in London in November.
